I am running a simulation of a setup in which I am pretty sure that an obstruction is causing my fan tu run at a very low flow rate.
I modeled my Fan with a Static Pressure vs Volume Flow Rate curve. The fan is placed as an external outlet fan. I set as goals the Volume Flow Rate and the Static Pressure average. The inlets are environment pressures. They have volume flow rate goals.
The operating point of the Fan is very far off my operating curve. The static pressure it shows is way above what the fan should be capable of generating. I would appreciate if anyone could tell me how I could correct this issue. I attached an image of the Operating point the simulation showed.
Apparently, Solidworks is not good at extrapolating the Performance curve. I extrapolated the curve points on Excel up to the fully blocked flow (0 m3/s), introduced those to solidworks, and got much better results.
