Is it possible to replace the data card of a part / assembly that is already in EPDM and has another data card?
The short answer is yes. Keep in mind that two things dictate what card will be shown for a file, the file extension in the card properties and the folder where the card is saved. The card will also be displayed for files in sub folders below where the card is saved.
Yes. Think of data cards as 'windows'. Even if you change the data card for the folders, it doesn't delete or add data if the cards has less/more variables than the original card. The card simply is an interface to push/pull data.
Yes, you can technically swap the datacard that you are using for files by editing the extensions for which the datacard is for. i.e. remove .txt for old datacard, add .txt for the new datacard in card editor. the change will affect all .txt files that this datacard applies to. therefore, this is not meant to be a "selectable" datacard if that is where you're headed.
