I drew an open sketch. When I extrude with Thin Feature, "One-Direction" creates slanted wall but "Midplane" creates a straight wall
actually, "midplane" also creates a slanted wall if the thickness is bigger than a certain value. I tried 10mm and it created a slanted wall
Hi Shawn,.. check to make sure your R4.4 is normal to or tangent to the straight line?
I checked and it's indeed 90 degrees. But that doesn't matter because a different radius will also create a slanted wall. I tried 10mm and 15mm
This is because the thickness is greater than the radius of the last arc. If the thickness is in the "blue" range - it will be OK. If you increase the thickness to the "red" line, the slant will be larger.
P.S. Once again, you are starting a discussion not a question. I won't help next time.
Thanks for the reply but how do you differentiate between a question and a discussion? I had a question, therefor I asked. One reply from a user will not necessarily answer the asker's question. Sometimes, you might have to reply more than once (thus, a discussion?) for clarification. But anyways, I appreciated your help. Your reply answered my question clearly
Now you can too differentiate between a question and a discussion
oh, ok. I have to choose [ask a question]. Thanks for clarification.
When you create a question it is possible to select the correct answer. This is helpful to others in the future. You do not need to browse the entire thread (although you can often learn a lot - even with incorrect answers).
