Can we add revision table automatically in Solidworks drawing?
Please elaborate what you mean with adding revision table automatically?
Do you want it filled out automatically. Do you want the program to 'know' when you have made a revision to a revision-free drawing and pop in the revision table by itself? Do you want your basic drawing having a revision table already included?
Some things are possible, somethings just aren't.
Thanks, Peter for prompt reply.
When I change dimension in 3D modelling, then after switching to 2D modelling the system should asked to add changed dimension as a revision or not.
One more thing when I changed dimension in 3d Modelling I should get to know the other changed dimensions (if depend on the changed dimension)
I know the option Isolate Changed Dimensions. If you know other tricks Please help me.
As Peter suggested, kindly share more details.
If you just want to add revision table to drawing them you can simply insert that into your drawing template. This way all new drawings will have them.
For existing drawings, you can use a macro.
You can also use the macro to fill the existing revision tables.
How to use the macro to fill the existing revision tables?
This forum is full of many such examples and with the simple search you can find them easily. Here is one of them Macro to update revision table
Not sure of a way you can have the revision table automatically detect and update when you change dimensions.
Are you using PDM as if so the best way to handle this would be through workflow state changes.
Also you can turn on the 'highlight changed dimensions' in Solidworks to make it clear which dimensions have updated since the drawing was last saved, this would help you keep track of dependant dimensions that may have updated as a result of a 3D part change.

No. Not using PDM.
'Highlight Changed dimensions' is not that effective way.
