When box on settings is selected to updates every 30 days does it actually update.
Have to add, 3 machines also have Solidworks on them these are the only computers Edrawings prints correctly on. 2018 SP5 had a fix to correct the printing problem. My Problem is there are several machines that do not have solidworks so there has been no updates for these machines. These now print but cut off the Revision and title blocks at the bottom of the page. Or on one windows 10 machine the drawings print half sized, so to read anything you need a magnifying lens.
Also on this windows 10 Machine when you go into edit settings mode the OK check at the bottom of the page is missing.
Must be this part of the forum is not used.
No idea if it updates. Probably users would have to accept a popup asking them to update.
Personally I deploy edrawings with the admin image option editor.
Just check the version number.
I figured out how to do it, but it sure would be nice if the program would do it on its own. We have a bunch of computers out on the shop floor and in other offices in the plant. They all print incorrectly. We are using 2018 and they are all at SP1. A couple of us keep our machines up to date and have SP5 on ours. This was the service pack in 2018 that corrected the printing problems.
At this time I really do not have time to do our IT persons job.
Then get with your IT department and formulate a plan to keep the software up to date. There are lots of options for deploying software remotely. The software installed should really be controlled and not up to the individual user. You don't users on different versions of the software for reasons exactly like this.
