Is there a way to find all duplicate file names in PDM Vault
I'm using PDM standard (no API) so please don't provide API solution
Do you have access to the SQL db?
Run a search, export the search to Excel, and use Excel's capability to highlight duplicates.
Here is a query you can use. its not API but you will need access and knowledge to safely run the query. ask your IT if you are not sure. This query was extracted from a .crp file i made and reference in a document of ours (.crp files are for PDM Pro but sql queries can be ran in SSMS). Below is the link to the document, please read it to know how to interpret the returned data.

i tought u cant have same file named files in PDM, ours if I want to check in file that already exist anywhere on pdm give me warning with and won't let me check in that new file...
I think it even shows where the other files are located in warning window.
Wojciech Paterski It depends on settings. But what I think confuses people is that just because things cant check-in due to the duplicate name restriction, doesn't mean they are not vaulted. files are vaulted when added to the vault view - initial check in or not. things get more mixed up when duplicate name private state files are deleted. you can't search deleted files using search cards. You'll have to browse for them manually if you have permissions or query for them. deleted files are still part of the vault. Common phone call through our queues. I describe this scenario in my document and how to address it: you gotta seak and destroy the duplicate or consider renaming accorningly.
