Go to Tools > Options > Document Properties > Dimensions > Linear and un-check the box shown below. You will need to repeat it for each dimension type (Angular, Diameter, etc.).
The first screenshot is what I have. The 2nd is what I want, The 3rd is how I have it set. Nothing is changing ?
Did you un-check that box for diameter dimensions also, or just linear? See the second sentence of what I posted yesterday.
It's working now Glenn. This morning I went back, made the change as you suggested and it worked perfectly. I then checked the Angular and Diameter and they where already updated. I'm not sure if this problem keeps happening because my laptop gets hot or a windows update interferes or if it's a software glitch but this is typical of my system. I tell it to do something and it ignores me.

Remember that these are *document properties*, meaning these changes only affect the particular part/assembly/drawing file you had active when you invoked the tool. you probably want to update your templates, and save out the "drafting standard" so you can load it into files you already worked on.
