I believe your dimensions are in inches and the above drawing is in mm
Mine are also in MMGS, I checked earlier.
I'm thinking it might have something to do with the top point coincident with the construction line. It's an asterisk on the exercise I'm supposed to follow but a point for me. Or does that not matter?
You start draw spline from bottom, right? Try from top.
Here you have different:
I noticed that the top view doesn't show decimals. Maybe some of those values aren't whole numbers?
I tried from top too but it still gave the wrong answer. I'm not sure what those two circles you highlighted indicate? Are you saying I should have a straight line there instead? I added a tangent relation between the top horizontal line and the spline and now I got a value much closer (5871107.68) but it looks wrong now, I'm pretty sure there shouldn't be a tangent relation in there.
Did you plot the points and then join them with a spline? You'll get a subtly different result depending on how you draw. for example, look at the point at 25,30 on your plot and the example plot. Notice the difference in how the spline follows.

I'm guessing it's something to do with the drag handles... either in yours or the original. Probably in the original as I didn't touch mine.
It can mess stuff if you're not careful.
That's why a lot of people prefer style splines.

Yeah, I see the difference. I don't know why it's different in my sketch though, I dimensioned exactly as the exercise said.

Nope, I just selected spline and placed points and dimensioned them after. Could that be why then?
First make points. after build spline on they. Weight spline point is depended from distance between them.

Yes. Position and dimension sketchpoints first, then draw your spline through them.
Ok, I tried your way but im still getting the same value as before :/
I'm thinking the error may just be with the values on the question.

This is homework from university. This task learn use brain.
In newer version SW is Style spline (maybe other options - I don't know - I have very old version), try... maybe it work?
I don't care if it's from university or Elon Musk... It's still wrong. The task is to replicate the original sketch which cannot be done with the information given.
There isn't enough information to replicate this using a style spline either.

What about the original drawing? This is also information! You can use it as a blueprint. Will this help drag the handles?
Import the picture in your sketch. Scale it appropriately, then play with the drag handles to get the sketch to overlay the picture?

Can't do that I think, those pictures were in a pdf, not a solidworks drawing document.
Adeel please use snipping tool on the PDF to create the picture. Position the picture and then Scale the picture using one of the dimensions provided.
Sketch over the image as best you can.

Yes, PDF is better for this. Its a vector format. But maybe this picture is as bitmap in pdf?
Anyway. Insert picture to sketch (I use this from your post) and drag spline handles
Different is from accuracy (need more "play" with handle) and I use cm as unit.
