In the 'Convert to Appearances' dialog box that we see while opening an assembly/drawing, we are prompted to select 3 options:
Parts in this assembly, last saved in SOLIDWORKS 2007, contains PhotoWorks Materials and SOLIDWORKS Colors/Textures. These will be converted to apparances. It is recommended that you only convert and maintain one set of data to appearances.
Please determine which set of data to convert:
• Photoworks Materials only
• SOLIDWORKS Colors/Textures only
• Both - creates a unique display state for each representation
Could someone please mention the advantages and disadvantages of selecting one of the options over the other?
