After install SW PRM professional 2020 SP1.0 the Solidworks PDM icon is disappeared from the system tray. I can not to config Task Host. How can do it by another way?
OS - clear Windows 10
It appears it has been hidden from your notification area (system tray). Take a quick look at this Microsoft recommended way to turn it back on. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/30031/windows-10-customize-taskbar-notification-area
I hope this resolves it for you.
Believe in The Q!
The PDM system tray icon does not appear until you have logged into the vault.
You are absolutely right, but I'm logged into the vault, and this is observed at different mashine, in particular on the server
Thank you Tim, but first thing i checked the taskbar options
I think you have a more of a Windows issue and less of a PDM issue. This article might help but be warned, this involves editing the registry so please research, decide if you want to follow this recommendation, and use at your own risk.
I forgot to include the link but it recommended editing the registry. I would recommend reinstalling your PDM client. Much easier.
Having the same issue and I cannot seem to get the icon to show on the Server. Even with the EnableAutoTray Registry Value. (that expands all the hidden icons but the blueberry was never there in the first place for it to be shown).
Re-installing PDM client on the machine had no affect
I cannot choose which apps icons to show in the tray as we are testing on a trial version of Windows Server, and windows does not allow "customisation" if keys aren't activated yet
Is there any chance (at least in this particular case) that these issues are Windows Server activation based?
I tried to install on the activated Windows Server 2019 and the local machine with installed Windows 10. The result is the same - no PDM icon in the system tray. I will try to install PDM on local machine with Windows 7 Prof
