Can the Wizard be associated with custom parts? Can I take
parts out of the Toolbox and create "one off's" in a Library then
reassociate the Hole Wizard to those parts?
You can create a new standard including toolbox parts and
associated holes:
Tools > options > system options tab > Hole wizard/toolbox
"configure" button
Click the standard most similar to the standard you want to create
Click the "copy standard" button that now appears
After you create your new standard, it appears in the list there
and you can click the + next to it to expand and display the
various part databases. Display the table you want by clicking the
tabs in the right side of the window, e.g. screw clearances, thread
data, etc- and you can modify the values.
This only seems to work when a part is configured. It doesn't
give me an option to use the parts I have created as one offs and
added to the Library. It only wants to allow me to configure things
in the Toolbox. I need to be able to add HoleWizard abilities to my
Library of fasteners. Not Toolbox fasteners. So far Toolbox has
been useless unless it is used as the base to create my one offs
that are saved out to the library for all to use.
