How does solidworks simulation model a counterbore/countersink screw connector?

Question asked by Micah Eassa on Jan 31, 2020

There is some good information about connections to nodes in the knowledge base, but only makes reference to with/without nut and with/without tight fit. Does solidworks assume a screw going into a tapped hole is a tight fit? If so, does it apply rigid links to the entire cylindrical surface of the tapped hole or is there a parameter for length of thread engagement? I suppose a split line could probably be used for that though.
