I am running into some odd behavior in SWX when trying to save an assembly to a new name. The assembly has components with features defined in context, in the context of this assembly. I'll walk through my steps and note when things get 'different'.
I go to 'File>Save As' and choose the 'Save as copy and open' option in the Save As dialog box
When I select 'Save' I get this familiar warning:
I understand that it is telling me that the sub-parts/assemblies with in-context features will not point to the new assembly unless I give those sub parts/assemblies new names. I press 'OK'. This is where it gets different: I then get prompted to give the sub parts/assemblies new file names. I get prompted for each file that has an in-context reference
Since I don't want to give these files new names, I hit cancel. Easy enough on a few parts but incredibly frustrating when there are 20 or 30 of them.
Also, hitting cancel for each prompt results in SWX not opening my new assembly. Is there any way to prevent the sub part/assembly rename prompts? SWX2017 didn't behave this way, but SWX2019 does.
Thanks!
