Can someone please point me in the direction of how to:
1) Create a custom add for Solidworks.
2) Create a custom menu in Solidworks that does different internal functions specific to our organization.
I want to build an add in that is for internal use only that creates a menu option in Solidworks when the add in is enabled. The menu options would run code that does specific functions for us in our organization.
Menu would have options like this:
- Save DXF files
- Check sketches
- Check Part
I already know how to create and run code that would do the three things above. It would be really convenient to have these on a menu that is always available to the cad users.
Is the custom add in possible?
Is it difficult?
Is this a bad idea? If so...why?
