have they removed the ability of adding custom lighting in Visualize 2020?
Check with Brian Hillner
No. Working fine for me here in the 2020 pro version. They now have IES lights also.
Hi J. No lighting features have been removed. What specific problems are you seeing in Visualize 2020 regarding the Lighting features?
Rob is correct and now we have actually added an important new feature to Lighting in Visualize Pro 2020 - IES Light Profiles. Exceptionally helpful for creating realistic lighting on walls!
Here is a helpful link, with more info about IES Light Profiles, too:
2020 What's New in SOLIDWORKS - SOLIDWORKS Visualize
when trying to add lighting to the view port, it acts like it's going to added it, but it doesn't. before i updated after adding a new light, it gave me the option to edit the light.
Thanks for the screenshot. To confirm, are you using Visualize Standard or Pro?
standard, and right after i added that screenshot, it let me add a new light lol. made a lire out of me
doesnt give me the option in the right click menu either
SolidWorks Visualize has two modules. One is Visualize Standard and other one is Visualize Professional.
"Adding/ Working Light" is one of the tool covers in SW Visualize Professional. Whereas you are using SW Visualize Standard I hope so.
Thanks in advance,
Ajay Kumar R.
