When using the hole wizard to create an NPT thread, the model will create the taper that is produced by the thread cutting. Is there a way to turn this off? Even if I set the feature to cosmetic it still creates a taper, albeit smaller in diameter. I ask because when I send a part to a machine shop that makes the parts off the model, they want to machine the part with the taper and then tap. To get a properly made part, I have to model only a drilled hole and then manually call out the NPT thread. This makes the model technically wrong because the threaded feature doesn't exist in the model.
