If a user checked out a file from the vault and left the company. It seems that I cannot edit or move the folder because I do not have the required permission. How can we make change in this situation?
This is the correct answer. Admin does not need to know password, can just log into his or her computer as admin, undo the check out. All changes will be lost since the last check in, but that's better than not being able to access the file at all.
Doesn't the admin have the ability to find the person's info and login?
The admin can reset the password but would have to log in as that user on the machine that has the part logged out. If they have left the company then there's a good chance the computer has been re-issued to someone else and therefore lost the data anyway.
The admin can log in and undo the check-out, delete the part completely, etc.
