INVALID DESIGN TABLE PARAMETERS

Does anybody know why I get an "invalid keyword $FIXED" message when I open a design table? The design table was created automatically so the parameter was created by Solidworks rather than me entering it in excel & when I get the error message it gives me a list of valisd keywords which include $FIXED!!

I just tested this using SW09 SP0.0 and could not recreate.

So I guess I'll ask a stupid question; "Are your components "fixed" in the FMT?"
This would be denoted by a parenthetical f or (f) before the component name in the Feature Manager Tree.

After the table was created, by chance that might have got entered by you. RMB on the design table and select "Edit table" and check what is the extra value there in the table. If you unable to figure out that, then save your table and upload here to look at by someone.

  You could also try opening the design table and deleting the column that has the keyword "FIXED". Then you can see what SW does the next time you open the table and whether it recreates it correctly.

Hi Deepak,
I haven't added anything to the table, it's as it comes as created by soldiworks. I'd upload the file but I keep getting an error mesage saying file type not allowed.

Right, after following Bruces suggestion I deleted the 3 columns with the problem parameters & closed the table. When I opened it again there were no errors - so bingo, however the table will of course no longer change whether those componentrs are fixed or floating in the various configurations. To see what would happen I deleted the table and autocreated a new design table & Solidworks inserted the $FIXED design parameters in again. Closed and re-opened the design table again and 3 more errors!!
I'm using 2009 SP3.0 has anybody had issues using design table parameters in this release?

  I think we need to see a screenshot to get a better understanding of the problem, or upload your model as a .zip file as Josh suggested.

    $FIXED@BI740140B<1>
    $FIXED@LD740036C<2>

        Well Josh,
        
        After further review, I am seeing the same problem in the file you posted and upon creating my own new assembly.
        
        So this new feature never did work.
        
        That's really ironic cause once the problems are resolved, SolidWorks can: "We have fixed "Fixed".
        
        Then maybe they'll be on there way to making SolidWorks Work!!!
        
        Well, on that note, I believe it's BEER:30.

In case anyone is interested, quickest steps to recreate this error from a blank screen:

1. Open any part
2. Insert part to new assembly.
3. Add config to assembly.
4. Float component in new config
5. Insert->Tables->Design table, using Auto-Create method.
6. Table will be created with $FIXED parameter.
7. Exit the design table. Error appears.

This has an SPR # assigned to it. See SPR 408115 in the Knowledge Base. They do not list a work around.

  Well if it is a problem in SW09 SP3.0 and not in SP0.0, then it is a regression, plain & simple.
  
  The work-around is Fix It In SP4.0 or better yet SP3.1

  I'm not sure if this is only a 2009 problem. I had the "invalid keyword $FIXED" error happen in 2008 SP5 the other day. I didn't look to see what caused it, I just deleted the columns in the design sheet.
