First time user of the SolidWorks SDK

I guess the first question is about terminology.

 

For all applications that I have dealt with, they have an SDK. It seems that here, the "S" stands for "Student"?

 

I used the SDK/API ages ago, need to refresh everything. What I need to automate is the generation of PDFs from drawings.

 

Any tips/advice is most welcome.

Correct Answer

SDK stands for Software Develooment Kit. These are just templates to Visual Studio. You may avoid using this for API. Check this site: CodeStack | SOLIDWORKS API, PDM API, C#, VB.NET Examples and Tutorials . Start with Gett8ng Started section in SOLIDWORKS API.
