Can somebody please help me? I experience some graphic glitches in SW2017 Education. When I point the mouse on some tools or menus they disappear. Laptop specs: Geforce GTX1650, 8GM RAM, AMD Ryzen 5 3550H. I think SW should run smoothly on these specs for some non complicated 3D shapes but for me it is not like that.
Should I maybe reinstall SW? I have read something about Windows patch that is forbidding SW to work normally, perhaps that is the problem?

I downloaded and installed official Nvidia drivers from their page. I have tried both gaming and studio drivers but none of them worked as it should(same problem as described in my question). I ensured SW is set to GTX and even tried fine tuning it in manual options at Nvidia control panel but there is no difference.
QUESTION: Is it maybe connected with the fact that my Win10 is not yet fully activated and because of that software and drivers are not working as they are supposed to.
I searched online and found out that some Nvidia GTX 1660 users (same series as mine GTX 1650) are having same issues in SW because of the Nvidia drivers??
Turn on Software OpenGL. If that fixes it, you should be fine for any student use.
Unfortunately it is even worse, no glitches but it is very very slow with OpenGL on...

There are no GeForce cards that are certified for SolidWorks. You can see how many drivers you can find and try 'em. One of them may work for you. Or you can run in Software OpenGL. Or you can get another card.
If you're referring to the grayed out icons, that's intended behavior. Those features aren't available at that stage of the model. For example, all the cut features are grayed out because there isn't a solid body to cut yet.
There's missing items in his GUI. No tabs for example (Features, Sketch, etc.).

No, I would notice that while writing this reply, besides laptop is brand new.
Shouldn't the license for 2017 Student Edition have expired by now?
On my desktop PC license for SW2017 works just fine along with the graphic user interface and all features, add-ons etc. Our university has license for SW2017 so as long as I am student I will be covered.
First thing is to ensure you have the latest graphics drivers from Nvidia. Get the drivers either from Nvidia, or from Solidworks (do not just go to device manager and try to update there). Then ensure Solidworks is set to use the GTX 1650 instead of the integrated Vega 8 graphics. You should be able to do this through NVIDIA Control Panel, found inside of the Windows control panel.
