why isn't pack and go not grabbing the lower level drawings when i pack and go from the top level drawing of an assembly? i have drawings made for the parts in this assembly, yet pack and go doesn't see them? anyone have this issue?
Is the path for those drawings same as the path for their referenced models?
it was doing this in 2019 also. sometimes it would add the drawings sometimes it wouldnt.
Are they unchecked??
If the blocks are un-checked then you won't be doing any Pack & Go - you need to check those boxes and then Pack & Go will work..
oh sorry, i miss read. i thought you asked if they were checked. yes they were checked. i've been using solidworks for 18+ years and this is something that i starting noticing in release 2017.
J. Buckallew - I've also used SW for a long time, but I don't ever recall seeing this issue.. Did you check with your VAR?? Are you using a PDM system? or Server??
unfortunately we're not using pdm. however, i'm pushing for it. the main push back for pdm is because we have 3 solidworks users and one of us is in a different state.also, we have 9 inventor users. if we push to hard, we may end up being made to use inventor. i absolutely hate inventor. anyways, i didnt think of asking our var.
Are you saving the Pack & Go file in the same directory/folder as the original files??
For years I struggled with PG and one of the reasons was in the past if you saved the file via PG into the same folder, there were always issues. So I started to save my PG to my desktop in a zip folder, after the PG process then I grab and drop the file where I need it and then do an Extract...
i always put them in a different directory and rename them in the pack and go so they disassociate from the originals
