I'm trying to extrude this sketch with the Base Flange feature but not having any luck. Some other members have claimed I can do it but its not working for me.
So If I'm doing something wrong and you can explain it let me know,
thank you, Frank
Because the tab gap was only .4mm the reverse direction button did not work as intended. As I said before it was changing the extrusion from front to back. But after I changed the tab gap to 1mm then the RD button moved the extrusion from inside to outside of the sketch. And that's where it needs to be. I'm going to have to refigure this model
Try the "Reverse Direction" toggle under Sheet metal Parameters. I have had to use that a few time in order for the sheet metal to end up on the side of the line that I wanted it to.
Before I even came back on here I discovered that.
But thanks for your response.

But I tried that selection before with no response from the software. And the arrow was already pointing in that direction so why would it not have worked ?
I've had glitches with this software many times.
The arrow has to do with "Direction 1" and "Direction 2", it does not have anything to do with the sheet thickness direction. The other problem that sometimes cannot be overcome by this is features (sketch lines) that would no longer exist after thickness and bend radius is accounted for, that problem is often much harder to work around.
In an earlier thread you asked about creating this part but wanted to be able to rotate the arc to place the tabs at different angles. What is the purpose of doing that? Will you be placing this part in an assembly? I can see problems occurring with rotating the sketch arc rather than the part.
No, I was looking for a easier way of making an adjustment which I later realize was unnecessary.
These models are just test models so I can get a better idea of the fitment or visualization.
