anyone tried Internet Explorer 8 w/ SW09?

Anyone? I'm not feeling adventurous to try myself...atleast not before I tried to get some feedback.

I have had SW2009 and IE8 on my Core i7 machine for a while now. I am not noticing any issues.

I just installed IE8 today and haven't noticed any compatibility issues. I don't really like what they did with the tabs. The active tab is not as easily to spot now. The search function is fractionally better; you now can see all the unselected hits in yellow, but the search function is still way behind safari.

  I'll stick with FireFox after getting two viruses while using IE on my wife's computer.
  
  A friend of mine tried IE8, didn't like it and then discovered you can't uninstall it.

    A friend of mine tried IE8, didn't like it and then discovered you can't uninstall it.

    Tell your friend it can be uninstalled, but you must "Show Updates" in the add or remove programs for XP or "View installed updates" in the programs and features for Vista.

Running IE08 on XP64.

Adobe Flash player will not work with XP64, but you have the option to run the 32 bit browser.

No issues with SW that I can tell.

    These are all browsing functions, not integrated into SW, except for Help, which doesn't seem to use a browser at all. In my experience, SW does not 'use' IE, it merely opens it to do it's normal task of browsing the internet. Or have I missed something?

I tried using it with the SW09 sp3 installation. I could not get the security settings to allow the .hta to run. After about two dozen tries monkeying with opening up even more security holes, I gave up and ran it from the command line instead. Call me old school.
