When I click in a note that I've created and I try to position the curser with a mouse click, it is selecting the entire note instead of just moving the curser. It is really annoying.
If your graphics card driver version the one that is supported by Solidworks?
I saw an issue like this before and it was tied to my graphics card driver version.
SOLIDWORKS Hardware Certification | Hardware & System Requirements | SOLIDWORKS
That sounds like you're trying to edit text in a Note that's linked to a custom property. Could that be the case?
No. After I create a note.
I double click in the text box to edit the text.
When I click the mouse to move the curser to the desired location, it selects all the text from that location to the end of the text box.
Dunno how to fix... Just hit right-arrow and then left-arrow.
This was the correct solution. I had an NVIDIA P4000 with the latest driver and it was causing the problems. Downgraded the driver one version to a Solidworks certified driver and it fixed the problem. Funny though - Solidworks 2019 didn't seem to have a problem with the driver. For this card, Solidworks 2020 seems to work fine with driver 431.98.
Assuming this just started, have you tried re-booting?
This started after I installed the Solidworks2020 software. I was running 2019 with no issue

Check your graphics card driver, as Dan suggested.
Graphics Card Update took care of it.

...so maybe you could mark Dan's reply as the correct answer?
