Hi all, I've been fighting this battle for as long as i can remember with SW, and I've tried everything i can think of to get around it. 

The basic issue is trying to select an edge to dimension to on rounded edges or edges that are tangent (eg  tube, or rounded corner RHS sections).

I have a couple of images below where i'm hovering the mouse over the edge i want to dimension to, but SW will not highlight it (in orange), and if so the slightest move of the mouse and it's gone. BUT i can select the hidden edge!! see the 2 images attached as to what i mean.

I've played with what i think is every conceivable option in the system settings, but still no luck.

Appreciate any help on this one

EDIT: Running SW 2019 Pro on a suped up MSI Laptop that is around 6 months old.
