I never learned Autocad, started out with and continue to use Solidworks, which fufills my needs for the most part. I'm finding myself more and more needing to work with existing .dwg files from customers and legacy drawings from years ago before I started with my company. I have only used Draftsight to get takeoffs from drawings to use in my models. I started doing some Draftsight tutorials when I noticed that Draftsight will no longer be free in 2020. Should I get my company to purchase Draftsight 2019, or can I use my Solidworks subscription to work with and modify .dwgs?
