I have always used manually created centermarks when detailing holes, radii, etc... I was recently editing a model that had a drawing associated with it. I made a slight position change to a threaded hole, but the dimensions on the drawing never changed. I assumed the dimensioned hole was tied to the centermark. I grossly moved the hole and realized the centermark wasn't staying with the feature. Has this always been the case? I just updated to Solidworks 2020 and I'm not sure if this is normal. I have been using centermarks for years and never noticed this. I hope they follow the feature they were created from, otherwise all my old drawings are suspect!
John ... I'm hesitant to say it's "always" been the case but I am not hesitant to say that Center-lines and Center-marks have bitten me in the arse in the past. Take it for what it's worth ... Just my .02
