Here you loud and clear, but we can make all the noise we want, there is no stopping the futuristic "Now"
The new layout - Is the New Look of today... This Forum will be morphed into that format, possibly sooner than later, so we need to adjust, or "Dance or get off the Floor"..
We are too old to appreciate the new wave, which is actually not new anymore..
Yes, it barely works with Microsoft edge (I don't have any choice at all here at work which browser I can use). If I switch tabs at all, or already have a tab open to that site at all, then try to re-open the site from any link going to it, I have to restart my browser.
Uploading pictures is almost worthless. Restarted my browser 3 times before it let me upload a picture.

John,
When the "new wave" is crap it really doesn't matter how young or old you are.
It also doesn't matter if you use it for long enough for it not to be "new" any more.
Crap is Crap.
A rose by any other name...
Hello Shayna,
Thank you for posting this. Can you please post the timeline for when Idea submission will be closed, and when voting will be opened and closed?
Glenn
Hello Glenn Schroeder,
Idea submission is open now through December 27th, 2019. Voting will open January 6-24th, 2020.

Hi David Matula, try using this link to the community: SOLIDWORKS Top Ten 3DExperience World 2020 Community
OK, I am having a heck of a time even accessing this site. I know that it sounds like I am complaining a lot, but using Microsoft Edge, half the crap you guys are talking about doesn't even show up for me on the site. On top of that, every time I click anything inside the site or even try to get to it, I have about a 30% chance of it just coming to a blank screen (like the one below).
The only solution that I can find is to completely close Edge and re-open it. Which means that I just lost all my progress toward wherever I was going.
Our IT department has limited us to using Edge only. No Chrome, No firefox, no safari or anything else.
I have submitted 2 ideas so far....but have attempted 4 total. The other 2 I gave up on because of the above issues.
I don't know....I might be done with the Top ten list this year. This is taking too much of my work time and I am very frustrated.
Just out of curiosity, why has the idea submission and voting always been seperate?
People looking at this right now might not remember to vote in 2 months.
People looking at this in 2 months might not find the ideas they had seen 2 months earlier.
There's just so many reasons to do them at the same time that I just don't see a valid reason for it to be seperate.
Is this also the thread to talk about the new layout? Since Dassault seems to be forcing us to vote on the new layout and there hasn't been a single thread made to discuss all of the issues with it, I'm guessing it is.

It's my understanding that it's to avoid skewing the positive votes toward the Ideas that are submitted early. If voting was allowed during the submission period then the earlier Ideas would likely get more votes just because they were available to vote for longer.
In my experience (haha) the best browser for 3DEXPERIENCE platform is Chrome respectively Iron. Because i don´t like Google i prefer the Iron version. Just search the internet (maybe via ecosia.org) for "iron portable" and you will get some download link for a portable version of Iron aka Chrome. Maybe it is possible to use this browser at your work ...
I'm sorry, but this is an example of the "Do as I say, not as I do" from SWX. We already have posts on the forum with a similar title. A moment of research, i.e., looking at the
would have shown the post by Dave Laban.
We have been admonished (rightfully so) numerous times by SWX and others to first look to see if what we are asking or posting has already been posted.
I'm sorry if this hurts anyone's feelings, but I am very tired of the poor efforts we have been getting in the last few years.
