First Can someone direct me to a decent tutorial or video or something on approaches to setting up motion analysis.
What I'm attempting to do. I have a Part on a table. That table is sitting on a pivot/Axis that tilts left and then right. I need to be able to control the angle of tilt and the time...oh and the motion is not linear it's a "Wave".
I accomplished this in the animation using a linear motor set to an oscillating motion and modifying the distance, hertz. When I take the animation and set it to "Basic motion" the block just falls over. I'm assuming this is because the motor is being ignored and gravity has been introduced. When I take the same study and change it to "Motion Analysis" the motor appears to work but the item I'm using to drive it explodes into pieces and does not remain constrained so the driving motion is not accurately represented.
What I would like to read/find out about is what the necessary specifications are to get "Basic motion" and "Motion Analysis to work, what the difference between the two are and when/how/what each should be used for.
Attached is the assembly and parts in a ZIP if anyone cares to take a look. I removed the customers part, it would sit on the table...but NDA's and all. This is a rough concept for a quote. In order to get numbers if I need to make it even blockier I can do that for the simulation. I'm really just trying to get to an "Order of magnitude" on stresses and to verify some forces, motor sizes etc that I came up with in other calcs.
