I'm new and going through some tutorials. I tried the rendering but my laptop is pretty slow to redraw. I have searched but can't find an answer to how I go back to the part before it got rendered.

turn off the add-in photo view, or visualize, and that should cure it.
Where would I find that, have been looking, but to no avail.

The real view graphics is not available in my version (student). The other two I turned off and I realize now what was going on. With the Render tab available and the commands there, I had not deselected the "Integrated Preview" button. Where is the beat my head against a wall emoji, lol. Please excuse my newbyness, and thanks again for the input.

No problem.....we've all been there. And the suggestions we made was a "nuke it from orbit" that would fix it. So your solution is better. Mark yours as correct.
