Just updated to 2020 and whenever I open a model, drawing, or assembly outside of Solidworks such as through my internet browser or Windows Explorer it automatically prints. How do I stop this?
We have seen this occurring on 2020 when folks open files through SOLIDWORKS, and the fix is to restore the File Associations through the System Options menu. This requires admin privileges and SOLIDWORKS running as admin.
1. Find SOLIDWORKS in the Start Menu, right-click, and "Run as administrator." Enter elevation credentials if necessary
2. Open your System Options within SOLIDWORKS and click over to the File Explorer section (*note that in 2020 SP3.0, this button has been moved to "General")
3. Click the button to Restore File Associations, which should give you this message if successful:
* Note: As of 2020 SP3.0, this option has been moved to the "General" page of the System Options:
Thank you, Scott Perman for figuring this out.
Thank for answer
What if you don't have the "Restore File Associations" button?
I am running as an adminstrator.
Looks like they moved it to the General tab. (2020 SP3)
Thank you for updating us! I will modify my original post.
