Let's say in the assembly there is four part A's making a box and part B is put in the middle as a support. Is there a way to make part A longer and part B automatically lengthens?
I went ahead and did it anyway.
I just did a 10"x2"x.5" board.
I didn't know how your part A's were oriented, so I overlapped each corner.
While editing part B, I created a reference plane using the inner faces of the two Part A's. The vertical lines on the sketch are colinear to the vertical lines on part A from the front view. I also did an extrude on the midplane.
Part A length: 10"
Part B length: 9.5"
Right click Sketch1 from Part A and edit. Changed dimension from 10 to 15"
Part A length: 15"
Part B length: 14.5"
Yes. Create part A. Start a new assembly with part A. Under insert component, select insert a new part, name it part B. Create part B with external references to part A. Let me know if that's not clear enough for you. I can go create a model real quick and show pictures if you need them.
Thank you Tyler! That was a big help! I appreciate it!
Anytime, Wesley. I know your post says assumed answered, but would you mind marking my answer as correct?
