I was wondering when you approach an object to model, how do you go about figuring out the order of operations, in terms of what to model first and next and so on?

On simple forms, like revolves, this is easy, but on more complicated forms, I get intimidated and confused. Like I understand that you look at a form and try to decompose it down to major primitive forms that can be done easily, as much as one can, but this is not always possible or readily apparent.

I was just wondering if someone would please describe their process, as far as order of operations, when they approach modeling a form?

I know this question is very general and I don't have a specific form example, but I am hoping to learn your best strategies.

Thanks!

In my view it has to come with the good command in the subject. Only experience gives you good command. No other way.
