How to create a drawing template with a rev. table permanently attached?
Not possible with when using the "Standard SW Revision Table" - Possible if you use your own table and table layout..
No cigar? Sad.
I should make my own rev. table and make a property and....etc..?
Add Rev table to drawing and save as template.
I did . Doesn't work.
I save as a template and save as a sheet format .
When I open to make a drawing its not shown
As John Stoltzfus indicated, I used a custom Rev Table Template.
Once you created Rev Table, right click the table and Save As.
Are you trying to anchor it?
I was composing this before those others posted. I did not know you couldn't add a revision table to a template...That's odd.
I want it to be permanently with my border.
So when I make a drawing the rev. table was already there
I got you a workaround...Add your revision table to a drawing, save the drawing file as a regular drawing. Change the extension to DRWDOT and drop it into your Templates folder and Voila! when you create a drawing from that template you get a revision table.
I did . Doesn't work. For some reason
Add rev table, "Save sheet format", and save as "Drawing Template".
I do this all the time and it saves the rev table.
I did. Save a s template .drwdot and as a sheet format
but when make a drawing and insert a new modified .... EMPTY

Did you drop the table into the drawing sheet while in "Edit Sheet Format" mode?
I don't think it will allow you to add it in "Edit Sheet Format" mode.
Double-check and see if your Rev Block is coming in on its own layer. It's possible it is and it's turned off.
Were you able to get your problem fixed? I'm curious.
Not as I wanted.
If I open my modified template first and insert the model , than I'm getting the drawing with rev. table on it.
If I make the model and trying to make the drawing from the model ,when I choose my modified template it's coming without rev. block
Just a thought. Did you try with predefined initial revision?
Add the first revision and then save as a sheet format.
Attach a drawing with Rev Table.
We can try to make it a template.
I had no problem with mine.
