I WANT TO HAVE THE MODL SHOW THE THREADS VISUALLY CORRECT BUT I ONLY WANT TO SHOW THE THREADS AS DASH SCHEMATIC FORM OR COSMIC FORM ON THE DRAWING. tOO MANY LINES TO HIDE THEM ALL.
So, I use a configuration for the drawing, that part I get. What I am not sure about is what do I do with the part configuration that will make it show only cosmic threads not real. Do I add a cosmic thread detail to the configured part and suppress the visual threads.
So I followed the cosmic thread details and it made a dotted line as a circle on the part. (my part is a threaded rod) When put into the drawing the threads do not show as anything. I need the hidden thread edges to show, defining it as a thread not just a rod. is there a toggle in options for this?
hmm. i just created a rod with cosmetic thread then placed that into a drawing and the lines for the thread showed up automatically. give this a read and see if it helps:
Got it.... I had a toggle turned off in options. Thanks.
One with modeled thread, one without.
