Stimulus Activation stuck on Connecting To SolidWorks...

SolidWorks 2009 SpP3.0 Installation Manager is frozen on "Connecting To SolidWorks..."

This happened immediately after I entered the serial number emailed to me.

My internet connection is working properly.

Any ideas?

No one else has this question

Hi Tad,

There could some fluctuation of the internet connection.
Could you try to activate your installation using the serial number again?
Another option is the "Email Activation".

  I've tried multiple times... same result.
  How does email activation work? Are you sure it works for the Stimulus program?

    Hi Tad,
    
    On the SolidWorks Product Activation dialog, there is a question asking "How would you like to activate your product?"
    There are two options:
    1. Automatically over the internet (Recommended)
    2. Manually via e-mail.
    
    This will lead to a registration page asking for your information.
    
    Could you try these options?

      I have the same problem as Tad. I would like to try this "email validation" method, but I cannot find the SolidWorks Product Activation dialog. I only have:
      1. My serial number given to me via email
      2. The "SolidWorks 2009 XP and Vista - 32 bit Service Pack 3.0" found here : http://www.solidworks.com/sw/esp/ESP_download.htm

        I tried rebooting and then doing it again and it didin't work. However, it is now working. It will install. This, more than 24 hours after I have tried the first time around... I don't know if that's the reason...
