Using dynamic connectors for pins of component

Is there any way to use a dynamic connector for pins of a specific component without making a separate manufacturer part for a connector? An example is a temperature sensor module I am trying to add, which has inputs for four different sensors as well as power (20 pins altogether). Currently when I want to add pins to the component I select it in the component menu, and insert a connector symbol from a library of ready made symbols depending on how many pins I want to use. From here, Solidworks automatically assigns the pins of the connector symbol to the circuits of the component, and I switch the circuits depending on which pins I do and don't want to use. This method is quite time-consuming, considering I have to make new connector symbols for however many pins I want to use. It is also more difficult to rearrange the pins. Is there a more efficient way of doing this?
