Hello Community,

I am revising drawing templates on solidworks 2019. I want my dimensions, annotations, centerline etc to be on specific respective layers created for them in advance. I have assigned respective layers to all my dimensions (done same for centerlines and center-marks) in Options-->Document Properties-->Dimensions-->Angle, Linear, etc but, when I start drafting model views on sheet, all this entities adopt properties according to active layer at the moment. The only way I can change the layers of these items is doing it manually by selecting them and choosing "Change Layer" in right click menu. If this is how it works then what is the use of setting the layers in "Document Properties". I request anyone with this kind of experience to get back to me as soon as possible. I will really appreciate it. Let me know if I am not being clear enough to explain my question.
