How do I open a Template to Update/Edit it in Solidworks Electrical?
A template is just a project that's been archived a special way - unfortunately, the quickest way I've found to edit a template is to create a new project with that template, make your changes, and save it as a new template (and delete the old one so it doesn't show up in the template selection list).
How do I delete the old project? I actually have a pile of junk templates from tutorials and false starts that I would like to weed out of the templates list.
In your SWE shared data directory (default C:\ProgramData\Solidworks Electrical\, but often hosted on a server for multi-user environments) you'll find a ProjectTemplate directory - this is where the *.proj.tewzip's live. Delete any project templates you don't want to see in your list to simplify your life!
