Macro to get eDrawings to Save A SolidWorks File to an eDrawings file.

I am trying to create a task withing SolidWorks PDM that, when triggered on a workflow transition, would save out a SolidWorks document as an eDrawing file.  I can do this by using SolidWorks in a script within a task, but SolidWorks comes with a lot of overhead.  What I am trying to do is to trigger eDrawings to open a SolidWorks file from the vault.  Then have eDrawings save the file as an eDrawings file on a network share.  eDrawings has much less overhead.  In my testing this process, eDrawings if faster, and creates a slightly smaller file.

I can't figure out how to make this happen.  Does anyone have any suggestions or bits of code they would be willing to share?
