I have a bevel gear and need to chamfer a tooth .030 along the back end.
however when I use the chamfer tool it generates uneven geometry as shown below (Left side half the size or smaller of the right side)

I see there is a uniform distance chamfer option but when I select it I cannot select an edge. I tried doing swept cuts using a 3D sketch and converting entities on the back edge of the tooth but that was causing all sorts of issues, mainly thin and zero dimension values.

Any thoughts on how to do this? (I cannot attach the model as it is for a customer but I can give more pictures.
