Is it possible to set an option so that Section Z-Z is the first one created, Section Y-Y the next, then X-X and so on?
We like to have Datums A, B, C, etc., Detailed Views R, S, T, etc. and Sections ZZ, YY, XX, etc.
SW 2019, SP3
About the best I have is to use this:
However, it will sequence alphabetically, and I don't think that it sees a difference between detail views and section views.
I am not sure that you can get what you want outside of a macro run after the drawing is finished to relabel views.
If you've got Detail Views R, S, T, U and V, then section views Z, Y, X and W, what letter gets used next in each scenario?

Like so many things in Engineering, some individual judgement is called for in certain scenarios.
Fortunately, the scenario you describe is very unlikely.
The intent was to highlight one of the issues with introducing such a naming scheme in to SW as an option; that decision is going to have to be programmed in somewhere at which point you're then adding in all sorts of additional options, parameters and variables in to the mix, meaning more things to go wrong and/or it not behave how the user expects it to.
I wouldn't recommend adding any secret sauce on these letters per view type or any other basis.
It's non-standard and if someone can't distinguish between a datum, section cut or a detail independent of the letter, then I would wager some training is in order.
Plus it prevents duplicate letters across view types.
