See attached assembly. I'm having trouble mating the Base and Disk parts such that that the threads in the base will run through the grooves in the disk.
Mate a point to a surface, as shown and the disk will twist through the cylinder.
This works well. I'm wondering if there is another mate that would center the gap in the Disk to the thread on the Base?
David Bull - If you follow what I did but have the sketch point on another plane and adjust the plane height, then you can center it..
Add a Tangent to the lower inside helical edge of the thread and the lower face of the thread cut in the disk:
To "thread" the disk, right click the disk and select Move with Triad:
And "thread" by dragging the blue arc around:
On my system I'm not able to apply the tangent mate for some reason. I tried many different variations with no luck...
Add a 3D sketch in the housing by converting one of the Helix edges to a Spline line
Then in the lid add a sketch point 3mm from the end
Then mate the sketch point to the spline line and add a concentric mate.
