Maybe it's just me, but it drives me absolutely nuts when I use Shift + Tab to reveal a hidden part within an assembly and Solidworks chooses the rearmost hidden part to show. Then, I have to show several parts to finally get the one I want to show. After that, I have to go back and re-hide the incorrect parts.
I realize that Ctrl + Shift + Tab will temporarily show all hidden components and that may be a better way, but I would like to know if there is a way to make Solidworks reveal the frontmost hidden part instead of the rearmost hidden part. That way, I can position the model to reveal only the part I need to see.
This is interesting. I came here to seek a solution for the fact that in a multi-body part (also called master part) shift+Tab reveals the front-most part!
I have gotten used to the rearmost part being shown in assemblies, so I prefer that, but really all I want is to be able to make them function the same way. Any chance you discovered a solution since last Sept?
