I'm trying to test this and not getting good results. I'd
like to know where the problem lies, if it is SW, MS or operator
error.
In SolidWorks, I assign a Description custom property. Then in Windows Explorer (Vista 64) I right click on the top row where it says Name, Date, Type, etc, and click the More, then scroll down to Description and put the check next to it. Description shows up in the header row, and I reorder it next to the Name column. The problem is that the Description column is completely blank.
The files have descriptions, and Windows knows it. If I put my cursor over the name of the file (Detail view), the little cloud shows Type, Last saved, Description, Size. The Description value in the cloud balloon is correct, but in the column it doesn't show at all.
Anybody have any idea what gives here?
