I used Curve Driven Pattern tool to have holes along the curve. But starting end is giving a strange look. How to fix it?
btw, in looking at the video again and remaking this in 2014 (I do not have 2019)... and in all fairness, I would NOT be using "Through All - Both" for this curve pattern geometry,.. this leaves the program wide open figuring out what is what?.
The cut 10mm up and 20mm down is much better,..the cut pattern does not self intersect... for instance, think of this as curve patterning solids, they do not self intersect. (image/file attached)
Okay I have fixed the issue. Extruded cut should be from Mid Plane not through all. Can any one find out the reason?
Hey Maha,.. imho... the more you use SolidWorks.. you get to where you will be seeing/finding limitations, anomalies and glitches = Workarounds. Enjoy!
Ahhh! Yes....I see it!
Good catch Paul!!
Yes it is a good catch.
I would definitely report this to your VAR.
I hope SWX authorities monitor this website and fix the error.
The correct channel for this is to contact your VAR and have them submit an SPR on your behalf. Then, once you get the SPR number, post it here and we can vote on it.
While there are some Solidworks employees who troll the forums, many do not. Submitting an SPR and voting on it will get it at least on the "fix sometime" list. While leaving it here on the forums is a crapshoot at best.
Even if you are not on subscription, you should be able to at least contact the people that you bought Solidworks from and give them a link to this site. If they are any kind of competent at all, they will attempt to reproduce (at some point...I do understand time constraints) the behavior and submit an SPR anyway.
