Is there an easy way to batch save as SolidWorks parts and assemblies to HTML. I have thousands of models that need to be converted to HTML.
Is there an way to convert solidworks assembly on-demand ? I have projects saved on a network drive, I want to embed edrawing into my web application and click a project name, then load the project in edrawing
I am doing something close where i have all the solidworks files saved as HTML files and made a HTML web page table with links that call up the individual HTML eDrawings files into an iFrame.
Thanks for the reply, I thought my post would sink... So you saved all your files in HTML, but I am in the situation that new Solidworks files will come in and old ones get updated. therefore I am creating a windows service to monitor all the events and trying to create/re-create html files. Problem is edrawing API seems not supporting non-windows form applications.and I could even not find a way to execuate windows form application in order to do the job. any thoughts ?
What i think we are both looking for is for SolidWorks Task Scheduler would be able to convert to HTML. That would solve everything. We wrote some software to go through a folder and convert all the SolidWorks files in that folder into HTML format. I did not have luck finding anything about the eDrawings API, only how to install it. I wish there was some examples with code that demo its capabilities. I am getting to the edge of my knowledge base and wish SolidWorks would make export to HTML available in the software.
yeah I hope so too
