Where will I find an explanation for the single paper clip icon in the Feature Tree.
The help files do not show it in lists of Mate icons, Component icons or Conventions.

John,
That icon is for Mate folder and there should be two paper clip in that icon. The icon with the one paper clip in to on the assembly toolbar.

Correct Answer
Yes,
I have installed 2009 and studied the use of paperclips.
It seems that one paperclip is Mate singular and two paperclips is Mate plural.
It is hard to argue with that logic.
However a single mate may use an icon other than a paperclip.
That icon is for Mate folder and there should be two paper clip in that icon. The icon with the one paper clip in to on the assembly toolbar.
