I tried to drag the .dll file onto the upload area and it
would not accept it. I can drag SolidWorks files and .swp's and it
works but no support for .dll? Why is this?
I had that same thought last night after posting this. Don't
know why I did not think of it earlier in the day. I believe they
should change the code and allow the .dll but until then I will use
this work around. I appreciate the reply! Thanks Garrett...
Well that did not work either. I zip up the macro and drop it
on the upload page and I get a message saying "Batchupload tool
does not support type of files which are added to zip file". I
thought it might be because it has a .dll in the zip so I tried the
same thing by zipping up multiple part documents and then I got
this message "To upload a zip file, please make sure you have
included the primary file and all the files to which it refers in a
ZIP file. The Zip file must be named the same as the primary file
you want to upload". So I tried a single part file in a zip file
and it worked. Tried the macro again and got the first message
again. Any other thoughts out there? They sure don't make it easy
to contribute!!
Change the extension from .dll to .txt. Put a read me file
which contains the message to change the extension back to .dll and
methid to do it. Zip you files and upload.
Click on the file, hit "F2", take the dll off the end, and
add txt. Then I hit enter. I have done it as well with email. The
messages that I posted earlier are indicating that the file needs
to be a certain way or must meet some rules. I just wish they would
tell you what they are.
Congratulations, you found the winning combination! I changed
the extension to .swp, zipped it up, and then added an instruction
.txt file and it worked. I will finish developing it now and post.
Thanks for hanging in there with me! Have a great one,
Been there myself. Tried to upload some free add-ins, without
luck. It seems that 3DCC only accepts macros (.swp and .swb), but
under the "Macros, there's "Add-Ins" gategory. Macro is not add-ins
I think :-)
