Someone know how to project a point or more from skecht to surface?
Geometry reference make a projection for one point not the way I need.
What I would do is draw really small circles and the use the Spline Line Curve to project them to the curved surface - 2019 Sample file attached..
Many thanks for the answer John, by using small circle I'm afraid that the conception won't be perfect as we wish.
But if our projection isn't directed by axis X,Y or Z I'm afraid we won't have other choice.
You can make the circle .000000000000000001" if it registers in SW

Or, you can project a box (or a triangle or anything that will create an end point) and use the end point of new edge/3D curve to get your point that you need.
hmm,.. I swear I've seen a macro for this..? (searching,...still can't find it..)
Maybe a 3d sketch, with construction lines connecting the points and the surface, and with a "Normal" relation to the plane (which makes it perpendicular to the plane)?
Paul you are probably right I've seen something too but I'm not an expert with macro so I didn't succeed...
Glenn it's seems good.
what do you want to do with these points once they are on the surface?
I use several fonctions with it, like holes assistant and fonctions from conception library...
one way to do it is to connect the points with lines, project the sketch onto the surface (Insert -> Curve -> Projected), and then add points to each vertex in a 3d sketch.
appprouved... quicker solution, just need two lines to fixe one point.
